Generic Viagra vs Brand Name Viagra
Viagra is a popular brand name of a treatment for erectiledysfunction. This brand name is patented and as a result is owned and sold by one pharmaceutical company, Pfizer. Generic Viagra works in exactly the same way and has the same active ingredients but is sold under a different name to Viagra. Generic Viagra has many different name dependent upon different companies.
Viagra was discovered in the 1990’sw hen Pfizer was doing research into treatments for angina. During the trials and research that was conducted, Pfizer discovered that the active ingredient (sildenafil citrate) failed to treat angina but instead gave patients and erection when they were touched physically. And so Pfizer used it to treat men with erectile dysfunction, more commonly known as male impotence and in 1998 the FDA approved it.
Generic Viagra is the legitimate identical product and works in exactly the same way. The only difference is the fact that generic Viagra cannot use the ‘viagra’ brand name label. It is exactly the same in effectiveness as Viagra, not like herbal and natural treatments for erectile dysfunction. So 50mg of generic Viagra has exactly the same effect that 50mg of Viagra has on a man- and allows him to gain and maintain an erection.
Generic viagra should be taken 30 to forty five minutes before sexual activity and lasts for 4 to 6 hours. It will produce the same results as Viagra and you can enjoy a healthy and regular sex life.
The only differences between Viagra and generic Viagra are the brand name, and most importantly the price! Generic Viagra costs much less than Viagra- much cheaper but with the same results!
